Hi, I have a crack in my paint on my rear bumper. Has anybody else had this? It's located towards the top of the rear bumper, what should I do about this?

A few months ago I had a very minor bump with my tailgate, but had no impact on the rear bumper. Could it possibly have been caused from this although there was no damage? Shall I go to Ford and see what can be done?

I don't particularly want them to charge me a ridiculous amount for a new rear bumper when I can go buy a second hand one, have it resprayed and fitted for a lot cheaper amount.

Any chance of a pic? Might be able to sort it yourself if it isn't too bad.

If its only a crack in the paint, or even a crack in the bumper you dont need to replace it. I've had a couple of very bad cracks fixed on my Focus rear bumper. This was done around 5 years ago and you would not know there had been any damage.

Thanks for the feed back. I'll upload a photo a little later on, I might take it to a local garage and see if they're able to do anything with it as well, which I'll do in 2 weeks when my car goes in to the body shop
