Confused 1.6 Tdci Owner Advice Please ))

Featured Replies

Evening all I wonder if someone could help me with this,i brought back in November a 2010 1.6 tdci fiesta (dpf model) alls been going fine with the car until the recent cold snap, the car hates the cold it will start fine but lumpy as hell when starting off and to try and go round an island is well....fun as if the cars been filled with some cheap asda fuel lol.Once warm the car is fine though,i took the car in today and ford have done a pcm update???? time will tell in the morning if it runs better myself I would have thought its EGR related but do they still fit these on cars with a dpf still? or did they do away with them.

But my other concern is they want the car back to replace the crank shaft pulley and tensioner!!! I asked why and they would not answer me but said soon as the part is in I must take the car back.although they said the car is fine to drive im a bit worried why these parts need to be replaced as I have no strange noises coming from that area, only that when I turn the car off I can hear what sounds like a valve closing that noise is coming from the passenger side up by the bulkhead. cheers guys and sorry for the long post )))

Yes DPFs are more and more common now. Let us know how you get on in the morning :)
