Central Locking Cycling

Featured Replies

my 2001 fiesta ghia 5 door central locking keeps cycling when wet, it will only stop cycling once dried out or you remove the fuses. I have replaced both locking motors in the front doors and tested and the cycling still persists. So i disconnected the rear door motors by unplugging the motor from the best pillar and still it cycles.

I'm stumped at this problem and it is very annoying, what do you reckon the cure would be? I have also put ford contact grease in all the multi plugs,.

When you say cycling do you mean the car will keep locking+unlocking when you go to unlock it?

That exact thing happened to my old sax, turned out I'd slammed the door too hard and buggered the actuator - right pain in le derrière!
