When was your first driving lesson guys and with what car?

Legally - Honda Civic back in March '09

Legally still but on private land - when I was about 7 and a Range Rover :P

I was 13 on a private land and my first car was a Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 Manual Transmission. I will never forget that day. It was the best day of my life.

1988 in a Peugeot 205.

Horrible car but passed first time.

I remember the Instructor had stuck 'L' and 'R' stickers on the steering wheel.

Some of his students must have been real Mensa cases. ;)

First actual driving lesson was in a Mk2 Punto in mid 2008.

First experience of driving was a Daf XF on Mostyn Quay..."Don't worry," said my Dad "this isn't my truck...it's Olly's" (Olaf - 6'4" Norwegian chap built like a brick ####house, and then some...lovely guy actually)
Then later that day had a go in Dads 2l Sierra.

Drove the truck better.

1995 in a Peugeot 106!

5 lessons later i had my pass certificate in my hand!

(I'd been a naughty boy for a while before that).

2004 was my first driving lesson, it was in a red 53 plate nissan almera... then it want to a blue 05 almera which was rear ended by a bus (thankfully not on my lesson), as a replacement he got a skoda fabia. best part was when he got the almera back was the day of my 4th test. eventually went with the AA in a focus and passed :D

Yeah I will never forget the day I got my driving license. I was so excited.

Crikey some time in November 2000, fiesta, being 6ft 4, was not amusing. lol.

Then when I passed AA kitted themselves out with Ford Focus's. FML. lol

i do remember the car though,a nissan cherry.then the day of my test the guy turns up in a fooksall nova,as the cheery got written off the day before.and yes i failed.changed instructors and passed 2nd time in a nissan micra,with a top bloke.a few years later he got my missus through her test when she was 8 mths pregnant and yes the cow passed 1st time,biitch.

Its sods law. My first course I was in a 1.7 Corsa then on test day they changed to a 1.5. Happened again, was in a mk4 Fiesta petrol and on test day instructor changed to a Peugeot 307 hdi Luckily I still passed.

My dad's Renault 21 & Nissan primera estate....happy memories screaming at my dad for telling me what to do he had clip board on his knee ...all the practise in estate made me great Parker lol

Must have been around June 2011 in a Mk6 Fiesta, it was lashing it down. My instructor later swapped to a Corsa...much to my delight. Passed first Time in early December that year. B)

Funny this thread should be started, my first lesson was exactly a year ago :) To this day

Started off in a rather nice mk7 fiesta diesel, finished in a !Removed! 1.0 petrol corsa (now you can understand why I hate corsas so much)

Hell it was 26 years ago, let me think.

I think it was left wing mirror observation and nearly putting my Testers head through the windscreen with a very abrupt emergency stop.

Instructors fault for not telling me that he had just had new brake pads put in. :p
