Dpf Fluid Tank Replacement

Featured Replies

Hello all... I have just had this exact same issue and have been told by my local Ford garage that to replace the pump and sensor would cost around £900. Obviously that is seriously uneconomical for a car that runs perfectly fine and probably isn't even worth much more than that if I were to sell it on.

Just wondering what is the likelihood of the car passing an MOT with the "Engine Malfunction Light" appearing on the instrument cluster? My partner's brother who had a similar issue with a Peugeot seems to think it'll be OK as his went through multiple MOTs with the same problem. Not sure how the fault appears in those cars, but I'm pretty sure the MOT tester would have some suspicions seeing that message as soon as they turn the car on.

MOT isn't due until end of the year so got some time to figure it out yet. Anyone else put their car through an MOT with this message on the dash?

50/50. I would suggest that it will depend on what the inspector thinks. Ill ask one of my friends who is An MOT inspector what he would do if it helps.

However that is only a small part of your problem. If you run the car for long it will edn up in limp mode, A knackered dpf and potential to blow your turbo. I would be suprised if your car even made it till December in the condition it is in now. Sorry to be negative, but this problem is something I had to deal with. I ended up getting rid of the car sadly.
