Hi all I have a Mondeo 2002 model and the interior boot release button don't work and neither does the exterior button on the boot was just wondering if anyone has a solution on how to fix it?

Obvious answer - the switch in the boot needs replacing. It's a fairly common fault.

Tricky part - how do you get it open to do it? :s

I am able to open it with the remote key it's just the interior and exterior buttons that don't work I was thinking maybe a fuse but not got a clue which one it is.

The only fuse for that is the central locking one, as far as I know. And I'm guessing your C/L works?

I'm not sure if the remote key still works even if the switch in the boot is faulty. Maybe someone else can pick up the slack on this one but my money's still on the boot switch.

Micro Switch in the boot!! same thing happened to my 03 estate. Open boot remove switch and either dismantle and clean it like I did or just replace which ever is cheapest / easiest! Whole job took me about an hour and that included tea and toilet times lol!!

Don't forget to use electrical switch cleaner - NOT WD40!
