Hi, I have a 59 reg S Max with tire measurements of 225/50 R17 and I'm looking to buy snow chains for a trip to the Alps soon. Handbook suggests that I should not use snow chains on this set of tires but numerous websites for companies selling snow chains suggest that I can, giving me details of various makes, prices, etc, that all fit. Does anyone know if you are able to use snow chains on these tires, please? Thanks, Andy

    i too have read that,but it still hasnt stopped me from buying a set,bought mine from lidls about 2 years ago,there still in the box unopened but there waiting if i ever need them.

    The alternative is to use snow socks? they are universal compatible when you get the right size.
