Remapping Trouble Kess V2

Featured Replies

Hi I have mondeo tdci 130 automatic zetec s . I had someone come round to remap my car because the mpg is awful 26mpg. The guy came with a kess v2 but for some reason it would not do the job. I think it does not accommodate this car. Has anyone else had a remap with a kess or is it I just cant remap my car. Any help would be appreciated. Regards

I havent heard of Kess and dont think I have seen anyone on the forum use them, your probably better off with a bluefin or similar so you can swap the map to stock or performance as you see necessary.

Agreed, better off with the bluefin - it works on your car

Your car is a pre-OBD11, so the kess v2 may not be compatible

Also - best to get to the root cause of your poor MPG, (inlet gunged up with muck from the egr, leaking boost pipes, poor servicing faulty components etc etc) rather than sticking a remap on and hopeing that will cure it
