I have rang Arnold Clark about this problem under warranty. They say I have to have the body inspection stamped. If I have not does this meen I have no warranty. Anybody please.

what problem are you on about?

ditto ^^^^^^^^

I can remember reading somewhere in the warranty information that for the bodywork to be covered it should be inspected at each service and stamped for an additional charge. Not sure how this arrangement stands legally though.

The bodywork stamps are purely for any bodywork defects you may have. If the car does not have a stamp and you develop a rust hole then you could have your warranty claim refused, however, if the gearbox blows up its nothing to do with the bodywork.

AC have a minimum obligation of 6 months to resolve any defects you have on that car. If they dont, or try to wriggle out of it with bodywork stamps, then they need reminding of their obligation under the sale of goods act (see my signature :))
