Thinking Of Buying 2005 Ford Transit Connect Van

Featured Replies

Evening gents, Im Thinking of buying this of eBay 2005 FORD TRANSIT CONNECT T230 LX LWB PANEL VAN item no: 151231855911

It has done 195000 miles and has a problem with starting, here's the words from eBay

"Unfortunately the Connect seems to have a fuel problem. It won’t start.

It will briefly start and run for a few seconds with “easy start” sprayed into the air intake."

Could I be looking at a fuel pressure related problem i.e., the pump. If its just the pump roughly how much are these.

Is there a quick way to find out what the exact fault could be. Or should I just walk away due to its fault.

Thanks for any advice
