Mk2 Focus Colour Coding

Featured Replies

I have recently bought a 54/05 plate Mk2 focus and i am trying to colour code it...

I noticed that the later models 08-12 plate i believe come with a much nicer looking facelift rear bumper, without the lower black plastic and the strip just below the boot lid. I was wondering if i bought one primed and had it sprayed to match would it be a direct fit for my model?

Cheers

The bolts and brackets all line up so physically they are swappable.

Actually looking into this myself.

To buy new parts from Ford would go to about £800, including lights, Zetec diffuser and new brackets (in case you thread the bolts on the replacement).

The brackets are reusable but the existing bumper/lower trim are riveted to the brackets and would need drilling or cutting out and new rivets fitting (3 on each top corner and two on each bottom corner).

Also you would need to source Mk2.5 bulb holders for the fog/reverse lights as they are different from the MK2 ones.

I actually missed out on a ready to fit Zetec bumper last week for £105 as the seller wouldn't post even when I offered to arrange my own courier.
