hi all please can someone help i have a 04 mondeo 1.8 petrol and for a while now my car seems to over rev when i stop in traffic or lights upto 3000 revs then goes straight down but is idleing high between 1000 1500, been to garages and it ranges from spilt hose to sensors different answer each garage, please help a no minded no clue car driver

    Had the same with my fathers 07 1.8 was a breather hose at the back of the inlet manifold main dealers keep them in stock and not to hard to change
