Focus Mk 1 Diesel Pump And Mk 2 Pump?

Hi, I wonder if anybody can help me please. 7 years ago i bought a mk1 focus tddi with 86k on the clock, 500 miles later the fuel pump went and the garage quote was £1200 but managed to get a recon pump from Manchester for £450 and fitted myself.


Then after googling i found out that this was a very common thing on mk1 focus diesel.


Ok here goes the question, im now looking for a mk2 focus diesel, do they have the same problem?


If so then at what mileage?


Or have ford fixed this and i don't need to worry about it?
