2011 Mondeo Ipod Issue

Featured Replies

I know this has probably cropped up a million and one times but I just wanted to know would it be worth trying to update the Sony Headunit in my Mondeo with the latest firmware?

Its because I had the ipod connected and have a separate aux cable and connected it to the car and there is no audio even though I can see the tracks playing.

Not trying to make you sound foolish here, but did you turn the volume on the iPod up? Mine didn't work when I plugged it in till I turned the volume way up. Much higher than it needs to be with earphones anyway.

I believe I read somewhere that you cannot update the firmware on Sony units.

Yeah I had both the ipod and ford system up to full - however I decided to give it one more try before heading to the dealer, and it worked!

Glad I could help! Mine was the same, a bit of a pain if you swap between headphones and the car! lol
