Hello guys iv just tried to install the Ford adaptor for a usb to my car and iv plugged it all in but it's not working any reason why :(

Actually I remember your previous thread. If you got the connects 2 have you arranged your music as per the instruction manual I posted the link to on your other thread? You need to set up 6 folders named disk 1-6 (as it simulates a CD changer) it also says the number of files in each folder should not exceed 99

Higgs sorry I must of not seen your other post . Can I try get this right .

So am I naming song as disk 1 disk 2 ect .

Or am I putting how ever many songs I want into disk 1 then say another 10 into the debt folder disk 2 . ??

Also it says something about a cd changer button mine only says cd

You set up 6 folders named

DISC1

DISC2

DISC3

DISC4

DISC5

DISC6

on your USB stick, then dump your mp3s in these folders - Max of 99 mp3s per folder

Prob just uses the CD button if there isn't a changer button option or maybe even the aux button, but by the looks of things until it detects the right folder structure on your USB stick it wont output, manual says to wait 15 secs before trying to select the CD changer

Well still no joy iv done the folders as you sed made 6 separate folders disc1 to disc6 nothing

have you formatted it the right format ? fat 16 i think

its a mem stck your using yeah.they have to be formatted a certain way

The instructions also state you have to connect everything up in a certain order, seen as though you hadn't read the instructions did you do it in the correct order?

shouldnt matter.what head unit you got,if you have a cd aux button keep pressing it until it says usb

6000cd iv got one button that got cd then one button with aux :/

Make sure nothing is connected to the aux socket and then remove/reinsert the memory stick.

The module may be interpreting any cable plugged into the aux as an active data source and therefore selecting it as priority over the USB connection.

So this device simulates a CD changer but your stereo doesn't have a CD changer option? Or have I missed something?

Does the button on the radio say AUX or CDDJ?

I think maybe the problem is you have the wrong unit.

Are you able to post a link to what you got and also a picture of your actual radio so we can check compatability.

If it's the incorrect one can you return it for a swap?

Hello no it does not have the ccdj on it just cd. And then under that aux .

It does sound like the wrong kit then.

The audio manual says you press the cd button twice to activate the CD changer, as the unit mimics a CD changer I guess that is how you activate it.

I would try a different USB stick and if still the same and its been fitted as per the instructions contact the seller for a replacement on the premise its a faulty unit. If its the CTAFOUSB005 then its the correct model
