Reverse Light Issue

Hey guys, noobie alert....

I have a problem with the reverse lights not working on my 08 Mondeo. I did a search and found the common fault with the gearbox switch so purchased a new one (from ebay) and swapped it this morning.....still not working :-(

I have checked the bulbs and all of the fuses I can find and they're all good.

Any body got any further ideas??

    If you replaced the gearbox switch, is it actually putting out any voltage on the circuit?

    I dont have a tester to check at the moment. I will see if I can borrow one to check.....

    Does anyone have a wiring diagram that I can use to follow through. ....the car has a towbar fitted and want to check that this isnt causing an issue too...
