pete12000
Is it possible to fit cruise control to the Zetec diesel as an aftermarket accessory?? I'm looking to buy a year old or so diesel Focus, changing from a Peugeot, quite like the cruise control, hence the question? Cheers! I'd say buying it with cruise factory fitted is far less of a mine field three on auto trader within age and model parameters

Big Bob
google: retro fit cruise controlhttp://www.conrad-anderson.co.uk/cruisecontrols/ was one result listed I fitted one of theirs to my Focus a few years ago. It was fairly simple job (take into account I'm a truck mechanic) and has worked fine except the cable that pulls the accelerator pedal down needs to be fitted and adjusted quite finely. Later drive by wire should be a lot better and even easier to fit. Cost is around £300 I think. I'm looking at getting one for the Fusion, or possibly swapping the Focus one onto it. I love CC especially on long motorway journeys. We are thinking of going to the south of France in the Fusion next year, ;) so I'll have to get it sorted for that.
