hardyhardy
Hi all, went out for a fast spin and tried some hard braking on my Mk3... I can feel a sort of rapid vibration/judder when I do this but its not noticeable at 'sensible braking' speeds. lol Is this a symptom of warped disks? Or tracking? The guy I got it off claims it had new brakes fitted 6 months ago, so not sure whats going on. Tyre wear seems even though Any inputs most welcome! Nighthawk
Do you get vibration in the steering or pedal? If the discs/pads are fine it may be the abs kicking in. Sent from my HUAWEI Ascend P2 using Ford OC mobile app
gurcayy
It looks like warped discs. Usually, even the new discs, especially not OEM ones, tend to warp and they need to be grinded on a lathe or machine designed for this. It is also possible to warp the discs if you get through a water after extended use of the brakes.

Jack up and rotate wheel or something?
mintalkin
with the wheels removed the runout on the discs can be checked with a dial gauge, it should also be used when fitting discs to ensure the discs are bedded right before use.
