Ford Focus 1.6 Tdci Titanium --Autostart Light Comes On

Featured Replies

The Auto start amber light on "A" switch comes on after a few seconds after starting and stays on 'til engine switched off. Any cause or has it to go in to Fords --still under warranty

Take it back to the dealer, dont waste any time or they will use it against you when the warranty just expires!

It sounds like the autostart sensor is probably not working properly, so when you put the clutch in the sensor isnt reading the clutch action. I suspect your Stop / Start eco system is no longer working at this point!

Thanks Jeebowhite - Yes your right the stop/start has failed --and I've booked it into Fords this week -

Good call, sounds like it is just the sensor / switch on the clutch pedal is all that needs replacing.
