Car just dies, Help!!

Featured Replies

I have a 2003 Focus 1.8 TDCi, in the last week it has just stopped 5 times. I'm driving along and the engine just stops and the engine preheat light flashes. Sometimes it will start again straight away and other times it takes about 10 minutes before it will start again. The first time it happened I had the breakdown people out and they said that it was a fuel problem and I had some crap in my fuel that had got into my injectors. I have tried injector cleaning stuff in the fuel and it has done nothing.

Is there anything I can do or does it have to go to the garage? or is it something else?

Does sound like fuel. Have you ever had the filter changed? If not I would change it

Check for kinks or leaks from the fuel pipes aswell
