Small Changes Made Between 2011 And 2012

Featured Replies

I have just purchased a 2011 model 3dr Titanium 1.6 model Fiesta here in SA and I know that there are some differences between our Titanium models and that of the UK

Something I have noticed here is that the 2012 Titanium models have silver door handles on my 2011 model they are black and the fuel cap on my 2011 model has an indent in it for your finger that you press and the flap pops open, the newer ones has a gap that you pull to open, I now its small stuff, but I wanted to know if anyone else picked up any other changes made to the models?

The headlight switches were made more silver too, and there are little silver tabs on the vent flaps now.

I will probably remember more, lol.

Yeah that's about right! The only thing I can think of is the grey dashboard being a darker colour.

ok thanx, so its not just my imagination gone wild, I don't now if this was just an option or if this was a change in year model, but I think the later models came with cruise control and Dual Airconditioning, O and they put carpet on the backside of the backseats, were mine just shows the black metal

oh yeah thats right. i forgot about the back seat lining, it did make a slight difference in reducing noise!

i think they changed the headlining too.

i thought cruise control and climate control was always a standard feature though?

Not on our South African Titanium models at least not the 2011 model and earlier, I have driven many cars with Cruise control but they were all automatic cars, so how does a manual work with cruise control?

We have Bluetooth as a standard on all models incl the bigger screen in the middel, dont know if that is part of the buetooth package for you guys, so I think they decide beforehand what the general public would preffer, within a certain price range of course.

You just leave it in gear and the car keeps poodling along.

Use the clutch and it will disengage though. It will just keep increasing the throttle if it is faced with a hill, no idea if it would disengage before stalling or would let the car stall, I have always changed gear before then.
