Not Starting

Featured Replies

Hi my dad has a mondeo 08 and his car only starts some of the time we thought it was the fuel pump but apparently the mechanic said it's not tht because the car starts in first has anyone else had this problem at first we thougt it was the glow plugs tht needed changing but even turning the key on and off numerous times does nt seem to work cheers

May be worth getting the fault codes read / invest in a code reader- it may throw up some idea what is not right instead or randomly guessing

In these situations the battery often goes flat - best to keep it charged if you can or it may cause more problems (including knaking the battery if left flat, loosing the radio code etc)

Carrying a set of jump leads (can be as little as £4) can help and "topping up" the battery overnight with a trickle charger

There is no problem with the battery because it starts sometimes there r also no lights up on the dash so diagnostics isn't working
