Clutch Biting Point Mondeo Mk4 2.0Tdci 140

Featured Replies

Hi guys I'm new to the mondeo scene and have just bought a very nice mk4 zetec with the zetec sports pack.

I've owned an old mg zs for a few months prior to the mondeo so maybe it's just me but how high should the biting point be on the mondeo clutch?

Mine isn't right at the top but it does feel quite high with not much pedal travel once the clutch is disengaged.

Thanks :)

It's exactly the same on my focus, bites right near the top and iirc was the same on my old fiesta

Thanks for the reply mate. It bites really well so guessing its normal it's just high compared to other cars I've had lately.

Yeah I've not had any problems with mine but I know what you mean, my work van bites quite low down. Not sure which I prefer though!
