Blue Led's 12V Without Using Interior Light

Featured Replies

i want to buy some LED'S off ebay (12v) but dont want to play around with the interior light, i want them so when the engine/ignition is on the lights come on not when the ignition is off as i dont want 24/7 light in my car so what else can i connect them to? i dont wanna mess around with plugging the plug into the cigerette lighter either or i will be happy if they come on when i turn my side lights on

its a 2001 mk1 focus by the way

Wire the live feed to the illumination live on the radio loom and run an earth to any body bolt.

The illumination wire on the plugs at the rear of the radio that you need to tap into should be black with a thin orange line.

There is an earth on the same plug too if you want it for easy access, it should be black and green.

Alternatively if you dont want to cut into an existing wire, you could use a fusetap to run a dedicated live direct from the fuseboard. Its plug and play really so all your wiring remains intact.
