Slight Rev Increase When Stopping - Then Drops?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

Still loving the Mondeo (Marilyn....) but I've noticed a little issue.

When i pull up and stop the revs sit around the 1400-1500 mark for a second or two then drop back to idle (900ish).

I've had a Google and there's lots of suggestions of MAFs etc.

Is it just a case of having a poke around the engine bay and look for a split hose or does anyone have any suggestions or even pics to guide me!

Thanks in advanced.

Tack.

Not sure about taking the inlet manifold off but I'm willing to try most things once.

Does the collective mind of the forum agree with my newbie diagnosis?
