mcouchard
Hi after the hassle I have had with the focus i bought two and a half months ago (see ex driving instructors car post in focus group) the dealer has said they would be willing to replace it for another car I like the look of a Fiesta they have its a 52 plate 2003 1.4 petrol zetec with AC and 44K milage. Could you give me some advice on any problems to look out for on this model of the Fiesta, I really need a reliable car for my wife, as the focus has been on the back of a low loader three times already. We had a Fiesta before 2001 Y reg Mk 5 1.25 freestyle and it was great we sold it before buying the blasted focus.

Try: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/index.htm?md=111 http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/ford/fiesta-2002.aspx? http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/motoring/car-r...002-08%29/1096/ for further info. I think generally they're pretty reliable, but as always with second hand cars, buy on condition. I've just bought a one owner, 36K 1.4 Ghia that looks pretty honest, but having spent the last two weeks viewing a good number of Mk6 Fiestas I have to say that there is a lot of rubbish out there and it's not always priced accordingly. Thanks for that I had checked those sites out already but haven't found much concrete stuff to check other than the suspension top mounts and water pump so hopefully thats a good sign. But then everything I read on the focus said it was reliable and we picked up a right dud, its looks great though its just awful mechanically. How old is the car you have just bought and if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay?
