Do you know exactly where the oil leak is coming from for sure?

Think its coming from the right side below the middle bolt ish then working its way to the belts but not 100% sure!

Not finding much info about changing the rocker cover online! Is there any common places the leak can be coming from?

Im niot convinced the oil leak is from the rocker cover -

There seems to be a lot of oil forward of the rocker cover, around the power steering pump and the side of the inlet manifold & boost hoses

Instead of doing work/ spending money that you may not need to - i suggest you take the boost hoses off and clean them inside and out, (the ones around EGR, anyway) check there are no splits, and no leaks etc - you could also clean out the inside of the inlet manifold, as well

You could fit a solid EGR blanking plate (if not done already)

Outside, you could give the area a good clean with a jetwash, this might help you pinpoint the source of the oil

Apart from the rocker cover, the oil could be coming from the power steering pump (check/ mark the level, to see if it is going down) the oil could also be coming from the crancase breather or turbo oil seals, this goes through the INSIDE of the turbo hoses to be ejected out where ther is a leak etc, it may also collect in the intercooler (that probably needs cleaned out, too)

Of course, the belt will distribute the oil due to centrofugal force so it may be getting onto the belt in one place and frowing it off in another, making it difficult to pinpoint the leak

The inside of the inlet manifold and boost hoses next to it will probably need cleaned anyway so worth doing

You have a Mondeo mk3 TDDI with a VNT (variable nozzle (vane) turbo) pnumatic turbo actuator, MAF sensor, and rear mounted EGR - it is Euro3 compliant - so no problems blanking the EGR with a solid plate

The VNT is prone to sticking due to the build up of carbon, especially on higher milage cars and or ones that are driven sedately/ round town a lot - when the VNT mech sticks it can produce too little boost (very slow/ laggy) or too much (can burst boost pipes/ cutout when driven hard) - if it turns out the boost hose(s) are split this is worth investigating

Mondeo TDDIs are good cars/ engines - worth fixing/ sorting - can go for 300k+ miles

Just had a good look over it and given it a wipe! A loot of oil on the bottom of the engine all over!

At the top there is oil all along the back of it (in front of the turbo)! Looks like the rocker cover join!
