firstmark326
Hi just bought a 2002 mondeo a few weeks ago and noticed that the oil light no longer works on the dash, I've tried the self diagnostic test and the light still doesn't work so i'm thinking a blown bulb. Does anyone know if it could be a loose cable or plug on the engine near the pump if not what am i looking at to get replaced? Many thanks

If the cable has come loose or broken the light should be always on and not off. Assuming that the light does not come on when you key on, then it should be blown (or, slightly more sinister, removed/deliberately disabled). jeebowhite
Agreed, if the bulb isn't coming on with the cluster test, either the bulb has gone, or the light has been covered with black tape to prevent it being seen.
