Anyone fitted an arm rest to Mk Titanium 7 yet?

Featured Replies

Hi,

First post here so would like to say hello to everyone! :)

I'm on the verge of getting a Mk. 7 Fiesta Titanium, but one thing I'm really going to miss from my current car is the arm rest - something that is not an option on the Fiesta.

I've found the following on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...s%3DI%26otn%3D2

Or

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...s%3DI%26otn%3D2

Question is, has anyone on here fitted either of these, or have intentions of doing so? If you've fitted one, how is it in everyday driving?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Neil.

Yeah the armrest thing has been raised before, general respone was

-too expensive

-the leather is fake

-doesnt match interior

-might get in the way of the hand brake

-looks odd

I might consider getting one but I would want to see a good few pics of one fitted in a fiesta first

Thing is, my guess is that the cost price of them things is £20 max, they're having a giggle flogging them at that price! Maybe if people arent buying them the price will drop over the next few months.....

I wouldn't consider it. It would get in my way in putting the hand brake on has I have to use my right hand to put the handbrake on/off and put it into drive, park etc.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I will wait for a while and see if the price comes down, I agree 80 quid is steep for some abs..... If I'm getting the Titanium I guess I'll be waiting a while anyway :)

I believe the arm rest in the first link lifts up to apply the handbrake, but this may get tiresome. I do fair bit of motorway driving though so maybe not.

I'm keen to see one up close first, just thought I'd see if anyone had tried it first!

Many thanks for the replies so far.

Cheers.

I am thinking of getting one of these armrests but the leather and plastic is the wrong shade.

I could get it retrimmed with red stitching but that would be over £100 pounds for an armrest!
