Electric Window Puzzle

Featured Replies

Hi there, got an '03 focus with a small glitch on the drivers side window switch. It works, but the drivers window works the opposite way to the switch (press up it goes down, etc.), but the passenger side works normally. The wiring and connectors are ok at the switch, they have not been modded or anything. I don't know what to make of it so if anybody has come across this I would be happy to hear your ideas/comments.

Hi rob, sounds like a short or crossed wires somewhere else out of the way? alternatively that window switch may have been replaced from an example of a different Ford, where the switch resistors are the other way around.

Thanks James,

Think I'll have to take off the door card to check the wiring at the motor for any faults.

Yeah also worth checking resistance of both switches and compare them to passenger side
