Focus Tddi Potentially Buying

Featured Replies

Right thought I'd ask in here as I'm not sure if it's worth it....I currently have a rover 75 1.8 02 plate with only 36k but been looking to swap it for something different...done me brilliant but I fancy something else n I've been offered a x reg 1.8 tddi with 150k+ plus money my way (again any ideas on how much I should ask for would be good) just wondered about people's thoughts as I've heard conflicting info on the tddi engine and thought here would be the best place to ask

In my view i feel you should be looking for a newer car rather than an older one - and with the low milage of the Rover you may be better hanging on to it

- your Rover has 36k and the Focus 150+

You may regret changing your car (especially for an older one) - "better the devil you know"

Unless you have a special reason for changing your car - eg - you plan to be doing a high milage and need a diesel, or you need more seats/ more space, or you want a car for towing etc etc

Even if you wait a while untill your rover starts playing up/ get another year / couple of years out of it

Yeah that's what I was thought but only thing swaying it was potentially money coming my way too and I've got a black lab and having a Diesel estate would help with that

Think reasonably about 350 maybe haven't found my car in spec n mileage going below 4 figures sort of 1100-1300 but that's sale outright

You might be able to get a bit more due to the very low milage of the Rover

Any money your way will help keep the car running

How long is the MOTs on each of the cars- and what sort of condition?

Tip - Bring a knowlegable friend with a cool head with you to look at the car(s)
