So do I. I was so shocked. I won't be. I am sending my letter to Ford HO in the morning. She made me cry - the fact she was so rude and also it drives you to despair you have to take your car there 5 times to be fixed.

That is appalling and to be honest in this day and age there is no excuse for it.

Make sure that any letters or emails of complaint to Ford you copy into the Garage in question too to give them a chance to make amends for what they have done

I dont think I have ever typed this word before in my life. But your dealer is diabolical. End of. Never go back there again.

i second that. write a letter to the dealership complaining, write a letter to the nice receptionist telling her how nice she is and how she should get a new job being a nice person :)

Now your radio is done, still lodge the complaint with ford but get any work done by another dealer. I had similar trouble with my puma, the supplying dealership had it 7 times to try and resolve an issue with the window seal tucking under. Took it to another local dealer and they fixed it first time. They even claimed on the 7th visit that they had replaced the window seal and the door card (as it was pushing the window out of line). The dealer said that all the parts where ther original ones. I complained to ford cs but they didn't seem that bothered.

Good idea Paul....will send a copy to the garage too. I'm sorry but a free service and car wash does not even cover the way I have been treated by them!

Mogwai - thats bad! I cant believe ford treat their customers SO badly.

I thought that Ford might show some interest as they where presumably paying the dealer for work that was not being done.

Only just saw this thread, ooppss.

I am glad you got your radio finally soughted, as what happening to yours occasionally happens to mine, I would have prefered if they had found out how to cure the problem rather than just replace it. I wonder if I will have to have the same fight as you to eventually get my head unit replaced, although mine seems to go wrong only once every couple of weeks which I think is much less than yours went wrong. I will mention my problem when I get to the first service.

As mentioned earlier, for your interest only, it was me that placed a guide on how to take out the head unit and in know way does it invole removing the steering wheel, the only wires going to the steering wheel are the remote buttons and these are nothing to do with the head unit. So your suspitions were right they were making excuses.

Anyway very pleased you got it soughted and such a shame had to go thro so much !Removed! to get what you were owed.

Steve
