Hi everyone I am new this forum and iam looking for advice. I have a 2013 ford fiesta and I have purchased a Sony Xperia m2 phone . I have set the sync up and I can received calls but the ford sync won't allow me to transfer my contact numbers across. It also it no longer has the facility to read or reply to text message.

Before I purchased the phone I rang ford uk to ask about an up to date list for the phones that could be used and they told me to contact the dealer the dealer said they use the same list that is on the website .

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Unfortunately I am not too familiar with Sync so cant offer too much advice, but I believe this is something that has been seen or heard before.

I think that you may find there is a software update for Sync to allow you to get moer out of it.

Whilst various phones CAN be used with sync not ALL of them have ALL of the features enabled.

For instance my Galaxy S3 was able to reply to texts with voice however my Galaxy S4 can't. But they both play music and make calls etc.

You could always try master reset sync and set up your phones bluetooth again and make sure you give sync all the permissions it asks for?

Otherwise your phone is probably just not compatible with all the features yet.

As James said there may be an update but you'd have to ask your dealer about that!
