2.2 Tdci Oil Filter Stuck In Housing

Featured Replies

Okay helping a mate out with a service for his car and am having trouble with the oil filte,r seems to be stuck inside the housing and not coming out any ideas??

have you tried squashing the sides of it with it, its probably just seized in place and just needs a bit of force to remove it?

Worst comes to the worst, jab a screwdriver through it and use that for leverage.

The oil filter wrenches with the grippy arm are good for stubborn filters - does what Jeebo suggests

Okay problem solved, spoke to a mate who said brute force. It just needed a good tug, the new one just pops in and out like most I have seen but the one on the car was jammed solid. Thanks for the advice all the same.
