Air Con Recharge - Best Place To Go?

Featured Replies

Hi

I am looking for get my 2010 ford focus's air con re-charged.

My question is where is the best to go to get this done.

I have used kwik fit before on an older car, and it was awful. All the gas leaked out, but did get a refund. They said the system was leaking, i went to another local garage, who did it for £70 and it was fine after that.

Is it worth going for a super cheap deal or do you lose out on quality. I dont wanna pay top buck for a recharge just want a solid service and the knowledge that i can trust its done properly.

I have seen that f1 autocentres, hiq, ats do these services, any of them any good, plus anyone know anyone local to the burton-on-trent area that can regas air con.

to be honest, there is little in "quality" when it comes to a regas. They all have to use the same machine that should vacuum test first then fill up. Its just a case of how much you pay is down to whatever they feel. Places around me do it for £35, same hardware as someone else who charged £66.

Thanks James...

I think the cheapest i saw around the burton area was £39 at f1 auto centres. Not too bad.

I saw an offer on groupon for a service for £19 but it was closed almost straight away as alot of people i guess were booking uo

I'm having our Ibiza done on Thursday at a local and trusted place. £45 plus vat and they will gave the car for 1.5 hours.

Most of that time I suspect is while they vacuum out the old gas and lubricant
