Focus Noise Coming From Air Filter Box And Speed Needle Not Working

I recently fitted a new cam belt on my 2002 Ford Focus. Since then when starting the engine from cold it sounds like its choking and revs sit high then once its warmed up the revs sit normal and doesnt sound like its choking as much. Theres a noise coming from the air filter box/pipe. Also the speed needle looks like its gone all the way around past 150mph and sat near the bottom. Any ideas whats causing these problems?

    Hi Shane,

    Sounds like a couple of issues. First off I would start by checking the MAF If you have one and clean it out with electrical contact cleaner. As for the needle, it could be the VSS needs replacing.
