Servicing Myself

Featured Replies

ive been thinking about the terraclean, about to have DPF removed and id already blanked off EGR a couple of months ago, figured I should oil change and have fuel side cleaned once that's done to help remove any of the crap that's probably built up / backed up with those two wonderful three letter design marvels.

just a one off more than a regular thing tho, figured if looked after with decent fuel / oil it should be ok going forward, got as far as thinking of having a proper clean out on the oil side as well when I saw it might be a pain in the !Removed! without spending a fortune on it.

swapped out the transmission fluid the other day too, such a difference, whoever said it was filled for life was talking crap

I still havent got round to this haha :P

Semi ( :P ) or Fully synthetic oil?

fully synthetic, use the Castrol Magnatec A1 5w-30, or the Ford Formula E 5w-30, which ever is cheaper, they are both castrol oil.

Full :)

I still can't get over the title of this thread!! XD

So weather permitting i shall finally be getting round to this on Thursday.

I have bout bought Oil, Fuel and Pollen Filter + anti freeze and rear wiper for £38. I have my friend who works as a parts advisor in a dealership sorting me some Comma fully synthetic at cost price.

This all means i treated myself to a Pipercross air filter! :D

Excited to get this on but want to do it all at the same time to see a good result
