Hi,

The problem being is when they reach that stage you need new metal to do a proper fix

Snap :) well almost. Seems to be a very common problem.

The best thing you can do in the absence of new metal would be to sand it down as far as possible, treat with Krust (a few layers) and then reprime and repaint.

Just an update, filled and primed.Halfords made up a can of magnum grey with K4 paint code £13.99.Can anyone recommend a cutting compound? I here G3 Farecla is good.Have you decided on what your going to do yet?

Even the halfords rubbing compound I have found to be good!

Thanks.I'll have a look on their website.

I am going to use a flap grinding wheel to take back the paint n crap n get to the shiny metal. Then I dunno whether to use p38 or p40 to fill it then prime and paint and laquer gojng to do all 4 arches but the rear onss I am going to use underseal the rear carpet liners to help stop the water getting to the metal

Ok bought p38 grey primer, pacific green, laquer 40 grit dry and 140 wet n dry going to go to my mates tomorrow and do the removal and filling this will be a laugh :D

Today, I've sprayed magnum grey paint, final rub down tomorrow with 1200 grit followed by two coats of lacquer.

Lookin forward to seeing the results
