Ford Zetec Change Colour Help

Featured Replies

hi guys a bought a car its gunmetal grey now a was doing an insurance quote and it says cars ment to be blue

do a need to change this on logbook or are they away around it

av heard someone saying somthink about if its standered colour inside its ok

but don't no

What colour does it say the car is on the logbook?

Hi John,

If the car has been resprayed, my first question would be "why".

Cars are resprayed for one of 3 reasons:

1) The owner wanted car X in colour X, but he found Car X in colour Y - Respray

2) The car has been involved in serious paint damage for some reason, so the car was repainted and heck, why not change the colour

3) (the most common IMHO) - the car has been stolen, and to avoid detection, the car was resprayed, and the plates changed to reduce the attention the car would recieve.

Secondly, the colour change would be seen as a modification by any insurance company, so you need to watch your premiums!
