Scanner

Featured Replies

Hi Folks, Just got my Mondeo 2.0 TDCi and am wondering which scanner to get. I have Windows 8.1 on the laptop and was wondering what the consensus for a suitable and cheap reader would be. I didn't have one for the Focus as never had any problems :)

Cheers

Many of the code readers (software) you buy online are only suitable for Windows 7 (or xp)

You might be better with a handheld "stand alone" OBD reader, that does not need to be connected to a computer (so no problems with operating system compatibility, drivers, updates etc)

As long as it has the Ford proticols, you should not have a problem, your 2007 car is OBD2

You could also get a obd-bluetooth converter to use with an android smart phone and the turque app

but a simple stand-alone plug in reader is prabably the simplest/ easiest -
