hi all as per title really if you have a look at my project page you can see how my car looks and sounds atm, my question is do you guys think its worth me spending £500 ish to get the car back to a standard look and sell the bits i have added would i make more money or would you leave the car and sell it as is? im looking for an offer around the 5-5 1/2 k mark for the car worth it or spend money get it back to normal and ask for the same amount of money?

cheers :)

If you have to spend money putting it back I wouldn't bother, unless you would have to re-purchase those parts again for your next car.

If you can find someone who appreciates the mods, you may even get more for it.

Then again, if you struggle to sell because of the mods, it might be better to put at least some things back to standard...

yh i stupidly didnt keep anything i changed on the car, my next car sadly wont be a ford unless they release the st diesal soon, so it would cost around £500 plus some labout on changing the exhaust, air filter, springs, coil pack and it may need new suspension top mounts, but then i could sell all the aftermarket ones for less then what i paid but then the car would be standard but like you say now i come to sell it the market of people wanting a modded car is small and im not sure id beable to sell mine :/ so do i dive in and put it all back or do i say leave it on the market for say 6 months if no takers then put it back to standard

ST should be available to order in December (including the diesel...)

have they released the price tag for it yet>?

Not that I know of, I would expect it to be about the same as the old Tit X 2.0 TDCi though.

Pricing should come out officially when it becomes available to order.

dont think it will be out in time for me sadly :/

if you dont have the originals then yes you should sell it as is, but if you have them its worth stripping it back.

Agreed, it will just cost you more money "up front" to put it back to standard, there may be a bit of time effort involved, as well, - you may be as "short as you rae long" "6 of one, half-adozen-of-the-other" - ie, go to all that extra expense/ hassle for little or no benifit
