My Little Fiestas Thermostat Keeps Going High!!

Featured Replies

hi all, i have a little fiesta 1.25 zetec ( T reg ) and every so often when driving the needle goes into the red. it doesnt happen all the time but just here and there. when this happens i put the heater on and it goes back down to normal. my mechanic said the water pump is fine, the heater control valve is fine and the water level doesnt drop down or leak out, so i think the thermostat is sticking and needs replacing. has any1 else had this problem? and if so how did u solve it plz? many thanks in advance!

Quite a common problem, cheap to replace easy job to do, In saying that if you change it and the problem is still there then another common problem is the original water pumps impeller is cast and they rot away not being able to circulate water, .

Cheap worth while change is the thermostat :D :D :driving:
