No Fuel Going Into The Engine Form The Back Pump Ford Focus Tdci Ghia

Featured Replies

I have no fuel going into the engine form the back pump. Tried to find
the cut off switch but no luck. doesnt want to start at all.Can anyone help me where it is located
and what else to try if still no fuel going to the engine? Checked all
fuses and relays. Thanks

There isn't a cut off switch on a diesel Focus.

Try turning on the ignition while someone listens carefully in the rear footwell, you should hear the fuel pimp prime.

If not then suspect the pump or fuses are duff.

When was the fuel filter last replaced?

it was replaced not so long ago , we also had work done on it because the cam belt broke causing the rockers to brake that was about 2 months ago. i drove the car and it was fine. I could still drive 22km according to the distance calculator , went to the shop , showed 14km , we wanted to put the car away , it started and then just cut out. we tried to tow it to get it started and some other things but no luck , still no fuel going into the Engine. my husband says it is because i drove it till it was empty thats why it is doing this :)

Highly possible you have air in the fuel line then.

Ford diesels really don't like that and can be real pigs to restart after air gets into the lines.

If you have homestart recovery then they would be a good option.

Yup it sounds like you have an airlock in the fuel line now.
