Broken Aux

Hi guys the aux socket has stopped working in my fusion any ideas on how to take it out and replace it would be very much appreciated



First of all the inner and outer parts of the socket have a habit of moving about, try pushing them together tighter.

Obviously make sure the cable is plugged in properly too.

It's possible that the socket itself has gone kaput, in that case go to Ford and order part number (Finis) 1365708.

If the whole cable has packed up then order part number 1426121, this will give you the socket, cable and some lovely cable ties ;).

How to remove the socket-

Remove the panell where the socket is mounted, unplug the cable from the socket and then seperate the two parts of the socket as per the diagram below-
