K&N Panel Filter

Featured Replies

I am thinking about buying a k&n panel filter from pumaspeed.

I have read conflicting opinions as to whether they work or not.

Do they add any performance or should I save my £50?

The only benefits of a K&N is it will make the car breathe better than a standard filter, but whether you will notice a difference is another matter. On the other hand, you will never need to replace it as they have a 100,000 mile guarantee or similar, but, how many standard filters can you buy for £50. Add to that, they need to be cleaned and oiled yearly at least and if you over oil them you can cause other problems with oil contamination.

Personally, I'd spend your money else where.

I fitted one on my car,it runs a lot more smoother on acceleration. As for more power  ??.Piper cross have also brought a filter out now. :D

you will not notice any difference in performance, having bought one for my previous car, i dont think i would invest in another unless i was doping more noticable engine works, but on its own i would save your money

I decided to buy a k&n filter from Pumaspeed.

Running the car on super unleaded with the panel filter is definetely smoother, more responsive and slightly more powerful than before.

My mpg has improved by about 4.

The paper filter which came out was clogged with dirt after only 4000 miles.

Yes the throttle is more responsive and a smoother acceleration. ;)
