I have been baffled by a problem with my s-max it has been intermittently losing power. Throughout the gear range as if there is no turbo power being delivered. You can be driving it then all of a sudden the power just comes back then maybe a few minutes later it will go again. the engine management light comes on so I took it to a friend of mine and he plugged it in to see what fault it was reading and it said p1130 or p1132 can't quite remember but mass air flow low intake was showing so we thought it must be the maf sensor playing up so changed that and cleared the fault. I drove home and guess what it's doing exactly the same again.

If anyone has had this problem or know what it might be please can you help

    I have the same problem in a 2009 2.2 Tdci. Just started yesterday.

    Clean out the EGR valve or blank it off. Nothing but trouble.

    My friend had my car plugged into his computer for 2 hours I am sure he put it down to the mapping of the car as he never done any mechanical work and now has been running perfect since we got it back with no engine management light coming back on. He said if it starts again to get a total remap. Hope this helps! Apparently the original Ford map is not good and gets issues. could of spent a fortune if it was not for him
