I've just bought a new Fiesta 1.25 82 PS in hot magenta. Probably not the best, but got a deal I was happy with at the time - I'm not the best at bartering, but as usual now wondering was it the right thing.

Its hot magenta and only 1.25. Is hot magenta crap looking is that why I got a deal? Or is it that 1.25 is not really that powerful?

Any words of wisdom from those out there that have a 1.25 or hot magenta or both?

Also how easy is the blue tooth and is the blue tooth and voice recognition all one in the same?

You'll be surprised how nippy the 1.25 will be. Regarding the colour the Hot Magenta is one of the more exclusive colours in the fiesta range, and its one that really comes into its own in the sun.

Your delivery is so quick, that the car must have been in stock in a yard, awaiting a customer. The colour, engine, and trim are rated as popular, and you have really scored by not asking for difficult options. I am sure you will be very happy with the car. The 82 PS is a large increase on the old model's 75, but needs revving, which it does so sweetly. I have an 8-month old Mk6.5 1.25 Zetec, with 3000 miles on, and I have to restrain my right foot, to get 37 MPG.

P.S. It might be a good idea to amend your order quickly, to get an extra £30 remote key, as they will cost £150 after delivery; -- also a spare wheel/jack/and wheel-brace, instead of the stupid aerosol they try to fob you off with. Just say "you forgot". The factory order price for the wheel etc used to be zero, then £30. After delivery, you can be asked stupid money.

Don't panic Scotty--you've actually picked one of the best colours in the range.

Mine's hot magenta as you can see and I just love the way the colour changes in different lights.........

The 1.25 won't have the power of a 1.6 but you won't be disappointed as, for their size, they go very well.

The Fiesta has been voted the best small car by loads of different independant organisations and they are not wrong.

Bluetooth is straightforward--just follow the instructions in the handbook and you'll be well away. ;)

Voice control works well too but you must speak clearly.

Just read through some of the threads on this forum and you'll see that we all love our cars............so don't worry as you will too!!!!

Panic over it would seem. Thans for your positivety. Its just with such a major purchase it can be daunting no matter how many times you've done it before.

I look forward to seeing the magenta on sunny days to compare with the gloomier ones - just hope the good weather keeps up to let me especially up here in Scotland haha.

I knew what blue tooth and voice control did, I just wasn't sure if they were separate extras - at the garage we just talked about blue tooth and never really differentiated between the two and I thought maybe I wouldn't get the voice control. Not that either are a major concern - more a gimmic, but you want to get as much as you can (gimmic or otherwise) for your money.

I have a Hot Magenta 1.25 Zetec. It's fairly nippy in town but takes a while to get it up to speed on the faster roads, but once it's there it is quite comfortable. I love the colour, can't deny I would have liked a bigger engine but it is sufficient for what I need. Sure you will be pleased with the purchase.

Most of the reports I have seen on the new Fiesta say that the 1.25 82bhp Zetec is the best car of the range as it offers the best compromise between price and spec and that the engine is wonderful and until the latest price hike the Hot Magenta was the only specialist colour

Having said all of that, I have gone all out . . . . . (and mine is now in the other specialist colour)

It is great to hear all the positivety - even finding this site has been a bonus - everyone is so friendly - we are a great bunch us Ford lot haha.

One thing I have noticed to is that everyone is having to wait weeks or months yet I bought my Saturday and I get it Friday or worst case scenario Saturday. I never went for any "add ons" other than getting blue tooth/voice control, but even then does no one else by in stock cars?

Mine was stock with bluetooth/voice control but it still took about a month for me to get it due to delays in bringing it over.

I guess I'm one of the very lucky ones. Having said that even just the week is killing me haha - especially with all the good comments I've read.

I only had to wait 5 days for mine as it was the show room model and that wait killed me until I came on here I wasn't aware how lucky I was. I even got to test drive the same spec car, something alot of people also can't do, which I also could have bought but a month later. I've come to the conclusion I was destined to have it! lol

no need to worry about the engine,i have a 1.25 panther black fiesta,and the car is quite fast,got it measured and it goes from 0-60 in just 11.9 seconds,and delivers around 88 bhp (factory specs: 13.3 from 0-60,and 82bhp)
