Can the V6 be converted to diesel?

Because there are lots of Essex V6 engines out there!

Can Ford release the specs of the diesel engine, so that those who can and want can do the conversion?

There must be tens of thousands of Essex V6 engines which can have a second productive life, instead of being melted for scrap.
