I recently drove to thorpe park and back from Warrington. around 420 miles give or take a few.

I filled up with £47 to the top. with petrol at 101.9p. i had to put a further £15 in down there to just make sure id get home.

Got on my street and my guage read totally empty. so thats a total of £62?

I did on average 80mph, few times slower little faster.

Now im not good at maths, but to me that is rather Poor? can anyone work out what mpg around i was getting? lol.

    :o I work that out at 30mpg

    I've just got 66mpg from my TDCi with the AC on most of the time....

    definetly not too great. i get 420 on average out of my tank and at 101.9 it costs me around 50 quid so it works out around 39mph and thats not even driving it nice and easy.

    i agree with nick, my calculation works you figures out to about 31mpg which i think is quite poor, even at 75-80 in my car i still get a high mileage from a tank of petrol

    yeah your right, a good service will certainly do it no harm and may just help your problem a bit. it could be something as simple as a dirty air filter.

    when was it last serviced? (im sure ive asked you that before at some point lol)

    I think it was serviced around 10k miles ago, sure i was told it needs be around every 10-12? cant remember. Getting some monies together now to get my baby cleaned though and through.

    I mean, my dads got a 2.0l Mondeo Zetec S and he gets more milage then me :blink:
