Heater Control Valve

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm looking for a cheap heater control valve, but I'm trying to avoid those eBay specials.

What about either of these?

Also, is it worth covering the hole in the metal can with some chemical metal? After all, I assume the coolant will drain out of this hole if the control valve fails?

OK so no feedback, does literally nobody have any experience with these Vemo ones? I refuse to believe there isn't a half decent aftermarket manufacturer knocking out decent quality heater control valves. I really don't want to put one of these eBay specials on. Most have a hole in them that would allow the coolant to drain out of the car if they failed (I think I'd patch that with chemical metal though).

Have you thought about a genuine part?

Have you thought about a genuine part?

Of course but I phoned up somewhere and they said about £50. Pretty steep that is....

There was genuine ones on ebay in the past for much less than £50
